Helena Chung is a Korean American poet who was born in Seoul. Her poems have been published in Salt Hill, Pleiades, The Journal, the minnesota review, Raleigh Review, Quarterly West, A Dozen Nothing, CutBank, and elsewhere. She has an MFA in poetry from the University of Virginia. Recently, she was a finalist for The Georgia Review’s Loraine Williams Poetry Prize, and semi-finalist for the 92Y Unterberg Poetry Center’s Discovery Contest. Helena has received funding from Bucknell University’s Stadler Center for poetry, and Brooklyn Poets. Currently, Helena resides in Washington, D.C.
